So You Had a Bad Day?

When I created this blog, my mission was to keep myself focused on what the lovely things are, not the things that make me mad or upset. I spend enough time complaining during my day already and needed something that could bring me back to my happy place. Today has already been a day filled with moping, frustration, and banging my head against a wall (thank you, internship) and it's only Tuesday for goodness sake! So I just wanna post about some things that make me happy and can get me excited! Time to fight back again frustration and tiredness, huzzah!

1. Cartoons
FACT: I am actually a child. But seriously. When searching Netflix, my roomie and I almost always end up in the "family" genre which is just the code word for "hey you guys are 5 years old."

One of our FAVORITE cartoons to put on is Phineas and Ferb. If you're a cartoon lover and haven't seen it yet, shame on you. Phineas and Ferb are genius step-brothers whose whole goal is to never waste a day of their summer vacation, so they make crazy inventions/games. Their sister's mission in life to to "bust them" and their pet platypus, Perry the Platypus, is a secret agent who fights the evil Dr. Doofensmirtz. I would actually love to dress like them for halloween with my roommate, but that would mean convincing her to actually come out with me for halloween.

This Disney Princess story has completely won my heart. I literally watch it all the time. The plot is simply adorable and the humor is never ending. I also LOVE the music. Mandy Moore sings like an angel, the lyrics are great, and I'm officially obsessed with floating lanterns. Honestly there aren't enough words to explain how perfect it is, so I won't even try any longer.

2. Harry Potter
There is nothing that can make me happier than Harry Potter. That's dramatic, but it's true. And it's great perspective when you're having a bad day. If Harry could deal with the stress of fighting Voldemort, I think I can live through the stress of a work assignment.

But even with the dramatic difference in situation, it's so relatable. Sometimes when I'm upset I straight to The Order of the Phoenix (book 5) because it's full of angst Harry. Harry and I complain and whine together and by the end of it I actually feel SO much better. Weird, but true story.

I could literally write thousands of posts about Harry Potter alone, but I won't drive you crazy with that. Maybe in the future I'll dedicate some posts to HP but have a little more focus than just a "Harry, I love you" rant like this one.

3. Naps
I clearly need one.

  4. Please do write thousands of posts about Harry Potter! ;) Also, isn't Tangled fantastic? So underrated! I'm a film editor for street press, and when I put Tangled on my top 10 films of the year a few years ago everyone was up in arms, and I was like "Seriously? WATCH IT AGAIN."
